Hire Dock Builders Before Memorial Day!

With the spring here at last, it’s time once again to prepare for the summer season. And for swimmers, boaters, and jet-skiers throughout Michigan, there’s one day in mind: Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is the true kickstart of the summer for boaters, where every day afterward is a new opportunity to get out on the water. Even so, it’s important to keep in mind: there’s only so many days in each summer season. Each missed day won’t come back around until next year, which means you’ll need to wait through another Michigan fall, winter, and spring just to make up for lost time. That’s why it’s essential you install your dock before summer truly starts this year.

Today, we’re discussing why you should hire dock builders this spring season.

With over 30 years of experience installing docks, we here at Pier Perfection have the experience, skill, and dedication to install the perfect dock for you. Our professionals will take you through either the full design-build-installation process, or simply just any repairs your dock needs. Whether you’re a first-time dock owner or seasoned pro, our builders will always be able to give you the help you need.

The Types of Docks We Install

Our team is equipped to help you design, build, and install custom aluminum lake docks you’re sure to love. Most of our customers prefer one of three types: sectional docks, floating docks, and roll-in docks.

Sectional Docks. Sectional docks are the most common type of docks for private homeowners. As the name implies, these docks break down into multiple sections that make them easy to transport, wade into the water, and install. And because they break into sections, they have the added bonus of being simple to fix, replace, or entirely remove any sections you’d like. Then, when the season ends, simply stack the sections up for easy storage.

Floating Docks. Floating docks are a favorite option since they’re easy to set up and remarkably resilient. See, water the constant push and pull of water on lake docks can cause incredible damage over time—just take a look at the Grand Canyon. Floating docks are exceptional because they move with the water instead of trying to stand firm against it. As a result, they hold up much better against strong waves and windy conditions.

Roll-In Docks. As you could probably guess, roll-in docks are literally built on wheels so they can be rolled into (and out of) the water. But don’t be deceived—roll-in docks have built-in mechanisms to hold steady even in tough weather conditions. On top of that, many come with customizable legs so you can adjust your dock’s height in a snap.
